However, the journey of practising the splits is one of the most effective and healing methods for releasing the chronic tightness and pain stored deep in our hips and lower back. Practice is not about forcing your body into a perfect pose, but rather a calm and patient process of self-discovery. As Ayurveda says, "How you start your day is how you are going to feel for the rest of the day." Even if you are not a fanatic of Ayurveda or Yoga, this statement is hard to disagree with. Starting the day with a yoga routine infuses us with the fountain of energy to lift the day and prepare us with the firm mindset to deal with whatever is going to happen on the way.
